MAISON AMOUR
Jessica Bataille tells us her story...

Maison amour was a gift from the universe and also the meeting with the architect Manuel de Jorge. There I realized the great projection capacity that Manuel had, and how to build an energy efficient home with natural resources.

The house, perfectly oriented, built entirely of concrete, was a healthy house that was cool in summer and warm in winter.

Manuel de Jorge also had a capacity for surprise, and an incredible control of perspective. He had planted 3 giant cypress trees in front of the house, and what seemed like it might disturb in a clear view did the exact opposite.

View from the front
“Of each room by the volume of the cypresses you were able to surprise yourself with a different view, and even get close to the sea.”

"It was a house that I fell in love with and where I lived for 2 years...

"It was big but not too big, another of the arts of distributing the different areas in levels that led us to the outside to meet again in the center. You could perfectly host 10 people in the house and not feel it."

“The house is called Maison Amour after a beautiful friend of mine, Susana Martínez Vidal, who baptized the house, just after finishing it with a 25-year wedding anniversary celebration...”

“At that time there was an old decorative door, which in a natural way becomes a door of love as if it were teens, everyone has left messages of love."
